Microsoft 365 & Azure Sydney | Microsoft Partner | 4iT
4iT is a Microsoft Partner. We deploy, secure, and manage Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure for businesses across Greater Sydney, from licensing and migrations through to security, backup, and day-to-day support. It is one of the core platforms in our technology partner stack. Microsoft 365 and Azure are where most of our clients already live, so we run them properly rather than leaving the defaults in place and hoping for the best.

Key facts
- 4iT manages both Microsoft 365 (email, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and the Office apps) and Microsoft Azure (cloud servers, virtual desktops, and migrations).
- As a Microsoft Partner we handle licensing, so you get the right plans for your size on one bill, without dealing with Microsoft directly.
- Microsoft 365 data still needs its own backup; Microsoft protects the platform, not your content, against accidental or malicious deletion.
- Security is part of the job, not an afterthought: MFA, conditional access, and sensible defaults aligned to the ACSC Essential Eight.
- Everything is managed as a service, so changes, onboarding, and offboarding are handled rather than left to you.
What does 4iT do with Microsoft 365 and Azure?
We take Microsoft 365 and Azure from something you pay for to something that works for the business. That means getting the licensing right, migrating cleanly, locking down security, making sure the data is backed up, and then managing the lot so it keeps running. Microsoft gives you a powerful platform, but out of the box it is rarely configured the way a specific business actually needs, and the security defaults in particular leave gaps. Closing those gaps and keeping them closed is the work.
Which Microsoft services does 4iT deliver?
We cover the Microsoft 365 and Azure services most SMEs need. Each has its own page with the detail.
- Microsoft 365: email, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and the Office apps, set up and managed properly.
- Microsoft 365 Business Premium: the plan that bundles the productivity apps with the security and device management most SMEs should be running.
- Microsoft 365 migration: moving email and files into Microsoft 365 without losing data or downtime.
- Microsoft 365 backup: independent backup of Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams, because Microsoft does not do this for you.
- Microsoft Teams Phone: turning Teams into your business phone system, calls included.
- SharePoint document management: structured, secure document storage and collaboration in SharePoint.
- Azure managed services: running and managing cloud servers and infrastructure in Microsoft Azure.
- Azure migration: moving servers and workloads from on-premises into Azure.
- Azure Virtual Desktop: secure, managed Windows desktops staff can reach from anywhere.
Is Microsoft 365 or Azure right for your business?
For most Sydney SMEs, Microsoft 365 is the obvious foundation, and the real questions are which plan and how it is secured rather than whether to use it at all. Azure is a different decision: it earns its place when you have servers or workloads that suit the cloud, a remote workforce that needs virtual desktops, or a reason to move off ageing on-premises hardware. We will tell you honestly when a workload is better left where it is, because lifting everything into the cloud is not automatically cheaper or better. The right answer depends on what you run and how your people work, which is what we scope before recommending anything.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Microsoft keeps the service running, but protecting your content against accidental deletion, malicious deletion, or ransomware is your responsibility, and the built-in retention is limited. An independent backup of Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams is something we strongly recommend and manage for you.
Yes. Taking over an existing Microsoft 365 tenant is common. We review how it is configured and secured, tighten anything that has drifted, and take on the licensing and management. It almost always surfaces a few security settings worth fixing.
Sometimes, but not always, and we will give you the straight answer. Azure can remove the cost and risk of ageing on-premises servers, but a workload that runs fine on existing hardware is not automatically cheaper in the cloud. We assess each workload rather than assuming the cloud always wins.
