Technology Partners

4iT partners with a small, deliberate set of technology vendors rather than reselling whatever is on special. The platforms we standardise on for Sydney SMEs are Sophos for security, Microsoft 365 for productivity, Ubiquiti UniFi for networking, Veeam for backup, and 3CX for business phones. We run these every day across our client base, which is the only honest reason to recommend anything.

Key facts

  • 4iT standardises on Sophos for endpoint, network, and email security across its managed client base.
  • We deliver Microsoft 365, Azure, UniFi networking, Veeam backup, and 3CX phone systems as core managed services.
  • We choose vendors we operate ourselves, so the recommendation comes from daily use rather than a margin sheet.
  • Standardising on a known stack means faster onboarding, fewer surprises, and one team that knows the tools deeply.
  • Where a client already runs a different platform we support it, but we are clear about where it helps and where it gets in the way.

Why does it matter which vendors your MSP partners with?

The vendors an MSP commits to decide how well it can actually support you. An MSP spread thinly across a dozen competing products knows none of them properly, and you feel it the first time something breaks at 4pm on a Friday. We take the opposite view. We pick a focused stack, learn it to the point where we can fix it without a vendor support ticket, and build our processes around it.

That focus is also what lets us move fast. When every client runs a similar core, a fix we work out for one becomes a fix we can apply for all of them.

Which technology partners does 4iT work with?

Our core partners cover the areas where the right platform makes the biggest difference to an SME.

Sophos is the one we go deepest on, which is why it has the most detailed set of pages. The others sit alongside it in the stack we deploy and manage.

How does 4iT choose the products it deploys?

We deploy what we are willing to stake our own service quality on. The test is simple: would we run it in our own business, and can we support it well enough that a client never has to deal with the vendor directly? If the answer to either is no, it does not make the stack.

That does not mean one product suits everyone. Some clients have sound reasons to stay on what they have, and we are upfront when our preferred tool is not the right call for a particular setup. The point of a partner stack is consistency, not a sales script.

Frequently Asked Questions

We hold partner status with the vendors we deploy, which gives us licensing, support, and training access. We choose them because we run them daily, not because of any single commercial arrangement, and we will say so plainly when a different tool fits a client better.

Yes. We regularly take on clients running other platforms and support them as they are. Over time we will usually suggest moving the riskiest or most awkward parts onto our core stack, but only where it genuinely improves things.

No. Most clients adopt parts of it over time, often starting with security or Microsoft 365 and adding networking or backup later. The stack is designed to fit together, but you can take it in stages.
