Firefox for Windows 8 – It looks like the Mozilla Foundation is planning to release a touchscreen version of the Firefox browser that will work on both Windows 8 and Windows RT. This is particularly good news for those which are using Windows 8 on a tablet. It is expected that it will be available for download on December 10, 2013.
Mozilla first mentioned that a metro version of its popular browser was in the pipeline way back in February 2012. This has been a long time coming. Initially Mozilla had hoped to have the firefox browser ready by January 2013.
It is suggested that Firefox for Windows 8 is going to make use of Window’s 8 live tiles and also have the ability to pin web pages to the computers home screen.
Current users of Firefox can still download the current version which will work on Windows 8 without the live tiles integration.
