{"id":890,"date":"2016-09-22T11:10:38","date_gmt":"2016-09-22T00:10:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/4it.com.au\/kb\/?post_type=article&#038;p=890"},"modified":"2016-09-22T11:10:38","modified_gmt":"2016-09-22T00:10:38","slug":"office-365-shared-calendar-not-updating-outlook-2016","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/4it.com.au\/kb\/article\/office-365-shared-calendar-not-updating-outlook-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Office 365 Shared Calendar not Updating in Outlook 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you are making use of shared calendars in Outlook 2016 you may find that not all appointments are showing in the calendar or are disappearing. \u00a0Typically this happens when running Outlook 2016 in cached mode with exchange or Office 365. \u00a0The easiest way to verify this is the problem is to log in to your Outlook Web Mail, if you are using Office 365 you can log in at https:\/\/portal.office.com using your username and password. \u00a0If you can see the appointments in your shared calendars online then the issue is more than likely due to the cache on your Outlook needing refreshing, here are the steps to fix the problem:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Close Outlook &amp; Skype for Business if it is running<\/li>\n<li>Open File Explorer<\/li>\n<li>In the address bar up the top copy and paste the following path:<br \/>\n<strong>%USERPROFILE%\\AppData\\Local\\Microsoft\\Outlook<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/4it.com.au\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Screen-Shot-2016-09-22-at-9.57.49-am.png\"><img class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-891\" data-original=\"https:\/\/4it.com.au\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Screen-Shot-2016-09-22-at-9.57.49-am.png\" alt=\"screen-shot-2016-09-22-at-9-57-49-am\" width=\"477\" height=\"102\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Look for the the Outlook Data File which corresponds to your email account and delete it<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/4it.com.au\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Delete-Outlook-2016-Cache.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-892\" src=\"https:\/\/4it.com.au\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Delete-Outlook-2016-Cache.jpg\" alt=\"delete-outlook-2016-cache\" width=\"643\" height=\"473\" srcset=\"https:\/\/4it.com.au\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Delete-Outlook-2016-Cache.jpg 643w, https:\/\/4it.com.au\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Delete-Outlook-2016-Cache-300x221.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 643px) 100vw, 643px\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Close File Explorer<\/li>\n<li>Open Outlook again and wait for Outlook to resync the data back from the server. \u00a0You&#8217;ll know that everything has synced up again when you see &#8220;ALL FOLDERS UP TO DATE&#8221;
