After upgrading your Mac to El Capitan 10.11 you may find that your printer no longer prints and you receive the following message in the print queue:<\/p>\n

Stopped \u2013 ntdcmsmac open fail:dlopen(\/usr\/lib\/fxthm3acl.dylib<\/p>\n

To resolve this error please follow these instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Download the latest printer driver for your printer<\/li>\n
  2. Restart your Mac and reboot in to Recovery Mode by holding down COMMAND + R<\/strong> as the Mac restarts<\/li>\n
  3. Open Terminal and deactivate System Integrity Protection (SIP) by typing in the following command:
    \ncsrutil disable<\/code><\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. Restart your Mac<\/li>\n
  5. Install the Printer with the latest driver using the Printer Driver’s installer program<\/li>\n
  6. Test Printing<\/li>\n
  7. If all is successful Restart your Mac and reboot back in to Recovery Mode<\/li>\n
  8. Reactivate System Integrity Protection (SIP) byt typing in:
    \ncsrutil enable<\/li>\n
  9. Restart your Mac again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    These instructions may not work for all issues however it has assisted for a couple of different printer manufacturers particularly Fuji Xerox and\u00a0HP.<\/p>\n
