Close Outlook<\/h2>\n<p>Close outlook and any other programs which may be accessing Outlook in the background such as Skype for Business.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 2. Delete the OST file<\/h2>\n<p>Browse to the location of the OST file for your profile. \u00a0On a Windows 8 machine it is most commonly located at:<\/p>\n<p><strong>C:\\Users\\Username\\AppData\\Local\\Microsoft\\Outlook<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/4it.com.au\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Outlook-Profile-Location.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-367\" src=\"https:\/\/4it.com.au\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Outlook-Profile-Location.png\" alt=\"Outlook-Profile-Location\" width=\"582\" height=\"62\" srcset=\"https:\/\/4it.com.au\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Outlook-Profile-Location.png 582w, https:\/\/4it.com.au\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Outlook-Profile-Location-300x32.png 300w, https:\/\/4it.com.au\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Outlook-Profile-Location-580x62.png 580w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 582px) 100vw, 582px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Right click on the OST file and delete.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 3.
