{"id":265,"date":"2015-06-23T00:09:45","date_gmt":"2015-06-22T13:09:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/4it.com.au\/kb\/?post_type=article&#038;p=265"},"modified":"2022-11-14T20:05:46","modified_gmt":"2022-11-14T09:05:46","slug":"tabs-missing-in-outlook-2010","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/4it.com.au\/kb\/article\/tabs-missing-in-outlook-2010\/","title":{"rendered":"Tabs Missing in Outlook 2010"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Upon opening Outlook 2010 you may find that the Home, Send\/Receive, Folder and View tabs are missing. \u00a0You may have already tried to fix the issue by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deleting the Outlook Profile<\/li>\n<li>Checking the Outlook Options<\/li>\n<li>Disabling all plugins<\/li>\n<li>Checking that the Minimize the Ribbon is not checked<\/li>\n<li>Repairing Outlook<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If all the above steps fail you may need to edit the registry to resolve the issue.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 1. Close Outlook<\/h2>\n<h2>Step 2. Open the Registry Editor<\/h2>\n<p>Windows 7 &#8211; Click on Start and then run. \u00a0Type in regedit and press enter<\/p>\n<p>Windows 8 &#8211; Click on Start, type regedit and then select the registry editor on the right hand side<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/4it.com.au\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Regedit-Win-8.png\"><img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-266\" data-original=\"https:\/\/4it.com.au\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Regedit-Win-8.png\" alt=\"Regedit Win 8\" width=\"373\" height=\"197\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Step 3. Backup the Following Registry Key<\/h2>\n<p>Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\\TypeLib\\{2DF8D04C-5BFA-101B-BDE5-00AA0044DE52}<\/p>\n<p>Right click on the 2.4 Registry Key and choose export (save it somewhere safe)<\/p>\n<h2>Step 4. Delete the Registry Key<\/h2>\n<p>Right click on the 2.4 Registry Key again and choose delete. \u00a0Close the registry editor<\/p>\n<h2>Step 5.
