Here are the commands to flush the DNS cache on an iMac (or any other Mac) starting at Leopard through to Yosemite.<\/p>\n

To do this you will need to open a Terminal Prompt – Click on Launchpad and type in Terminal<\/p>\n

OSX 10.9 \u00a0– Mavericks Flush DNS<\/h3>\n

dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder<\/p>\n

OSX 10.7 \u2013 10.8 \u00a0– Lion and Mountain Lion Flush DNS<\/h3>\n

sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder<\/p>\n

OSX 10.5 \u2013 10.6 – Leopard and Snow Leopard Flush DNS<\/h3>\n
